What causes you to rejoice, friend? Is it your children? Your work or the material things you own?

The God of heaven, who loves each one of us deeply, gives us reason to be joyful!

The Psalmist, David, tells us that everyone who goes to God for refuge can rejoice. May we always sing for joy because we have a great and powerful God who loves and protects us.

Strong’s Concordance describes the Hebrew word exult as to rejoice exceedingly, be joyful, to jump for joy! David tells us that if we love the Father, we should be so thankful for the love God has for us that we want to jump for joy! His great love for us caused Him to send His only Son, Jesus, to take the punishment for our sin! That is certainly something worth getting excited about!

In Psalm 100: 1-2, we read, “Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth! Serve the Lord with gladness! Come into His presence with singing!”

Oh, friend, during this month which focuses on human love, may we understand more fully how much God loves us!

As we live in a community with other believers and hear the amazing ways God is working in lives, may our excitement and love for God continue to grow so that we, too, will sing and jump for joy because of His love!
